We are pleased to announce that Gary was announced as winner on Saturday the 27th March, at the Smile Awards Ceremony in the Royal Garden Hotel in central London.

The independent judging panel consisted of renowned names in the dental and facial sector.

Dr Christopher Orr, one of the UK’s most well known aesthetic dentists, chaired the panel of 16 distinguished judges who included amongst others;

Dr Linda Greenwall,  Dr Bob Khanna, Dr Mervyn Druian,  Proffesor Iain Hutchison and  Dr Andrew Moore.

The Entries

All entries were required to include a number of anterior indirect restorations, from one restoration to a full mouth including standard BACD Accreditation views of the patient before and after treatment, as well as photographs of wax-ups, provisional restorations and laboratory work.

The case report needed to discuss the patient's concerns and include details of diagnosis and the rationale for therapy, including different options presented to the patient, and a description of how technical and functional issues were addressed during treatment.

Gary’s case involved the closure of several very large diastemas, using 10 eMax restorations. The aesthetic closure of such large diastemas, whilst ensuring the absence of any “dark triangles” was not an easy task, but we (and obviously the judges) think he did a great job!

Well done Gary!
